Sis Faith taught an awesome lesson about telling the truth. She opened the session up with blowing into a balloon of lies. She  had the kids write a truth and a lie down. Whenever a kid chose to read a lie, she blew into the balloon. Then she popped the balloon of lies with the "truth". Next she told the story of King Ahab and Malachi.  King Ahab wanted to got to war with Syria and wanted to get advised by the prophets.He got 400 prophets and they all told him what he wanted to hear. King Jehoshaphat told him of a real prophet who would tell him the truth. King Jehoshaphat  called Malachi and Malachi had to battle in whether to tell the King what he wanted to hear or the truth- that if he went to war he would die.He chose to tell the truth. From this lesson, the kids learned that telling the truth is always good, no matter if the truth is something the person doesn't want to hear.
